A Happy Return to WPC
22 December 2022
I think we can all agree that it has been a long-anticipated return to exhibitions. Seeing our colleagues, catching up with old friends and making new ones, discussing and smelling new materials, swapping stories and scents.

Attended by Emma and Alex from our Stort F&F team, we loved discovering new releases and catching up with our principals and their new presentations. And of course, a good boogie to finish it all off…
Let’s attempt to round this all up…
New Principal
We are so excited to announce that we are now officially representing Bedoukian exclusively for the UK market!
Founded in 1972, Beodukian is widely regarded as a leading supplier of innovative, high quality speciality aroma and fragrance materials. With a huge range, Bedoukian’s unique materials fit perfectly into our portfolio and we can wait to bring their products to our UK customers. Take a look at their website and contact us if you would like further information!

New Products
After two years away, WPC was full of exciting new launches and our principals were no different. With sustainability still a driving force, we are now seeing launches for clean label alternatives to the materials we all know and use.
Following their merger with Firmenich, DSM took the opportunity to launch their allergen free alternatives to Linalyl Acetate and Linalol – Bergalin and Bergalol respectively. These new materials allow for cleaner labelling with with very little price impact! Samples of these will soon be available – please contact us if you would like to try them.

Agan came with their new product, AganLeaf. Introduced a solution to the cis-3 hexenol supply issues, AganLeaf is readily available and 3 x as strong as standard cis-3-hexenol. A powerful, green, grassy material, we are excited to see this one grow.
After working with Mamta Polycoats for a number of years on Triethyl Citrate, we are pleased to now also offer Tributyl Citrate and Di-isopropyl Adipate. An effective plasticiser, Tributyl Citrate is an excellent replacement for phthalates and adipates. Although not one for a smelling session, Di-isopropyl Adipate is a multi-functional solvent for a wide range of applications in cosmetics and fragrance. It is non-occlusive and non-oily with excellent spreading properties.

New Presentations
Our colleagues at ACS have created an exciting new presentation showcasing their Decalatone Epsilon and MVP in fine fragrances. In an impressionist style, customers can compare the fine fragrances with and without these materials to see the impact.
Synarome followed up their tea presentation at the BSP One Day Symposium, with demonstrations focussing on the unexpected effects some of their most iconic products in formulas based in nature.
Although Payan Bertrand were not at WPC, they presented some glorious new raw materials at SIMPPAR. All 100% pure and natural, the have an orris resinoid and a new vegan leather speciality among them. For our customers who haven’t made it to see these presentations for themselves, we are looking forward to bringing them to you in H2! Should you want to smell these, please let us know.
And to finish off, some pictures to fuel the post Miami blues… see you all in Geneva in 2024!
